Job Title: Receptionist
Reports to: Director of Operations
Part-time (28 Hours per week)
 
Crossroads Church is a passionate, growing community of faith where we are intentional about welcoming people in, growing them in their faith and sending them out to be all that God calls them to. Our church is conveniently located in Concord, North Carolina just outside of Charlotte. The Queen city has so much to offer, including being the home of the Carolina Panthers and other major attractions, and is close to both the Blue Ridge Mountains and coastline.
 
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit our church. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
 
Job Duties:
 
Daily opening and closing of the church building
Welcome and direct visitors to church building
Responds to informational request from members and attendees
Assists with the data management of key F1 functions such as: Activities module, Assimilation Process, Attendance, Data Integrity (duplicate records, merges, etc.), Online & Onsite Registration & Contacts, Welcome Letters
Assumes primary responsibility of main phone line including transfer of calls, and keep outgoing message current
Keep envelopes and visitor bags stocked in Narthex and Worship Center
Gather and distribute mail
Oversee the maintenance of the copier, including service calls and ordering supplies
Maintains confidence and protects executive by keeping information confidential
Record meeting minute for weekly all staff meeting

Positive attitude and approach with Christ-like interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-directed, skilled in prioritizing tasks and workflow
Attention to detail
Able to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Administrative skills, including writing and editing, mastery of church management systems
Team player with servant’s heart
Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Administrative assistant or equivalent professional experience.
Writing skills, reporting skills, supply management, scheduling, organization, time management, presentation skills, travel logistics, verbal communication
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
 
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
 Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer

Job Title: Research Assistant to Senior Pastor
Reports to: Director of Operations
Part-time (20 Hours per week)

Our church is conveniently located in Concord, North Carolina just outside of Charlotte. The Queen city has so much to offer, including being the home of the Carolina Panthers and other major attractions, and is close to both the Blue Ridge Mountains and coastline.
 
The Research Assistant assists the Senior Pastor with the use and organization of resources related to short- and long-term sermon preparation while providing administrative support.
 
 
Job Duties:
 
Conserves executive’s time by reading, researching and routing correspondence (mail and email), drafting letters, documents, reports and sermon illustrations
Assist in the research of upcoming sermon topics
Discover and retrieve illustrations from the internet, media, the arts, Sr. Pastor’s library
Keep Sr. Pastor’s library current.
Provide book summaries when requested
Remain alert regarding new books of all types
Resource File Management
Maintains executive’s appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences and travel
Maintains confidence and protects executive by keeping information confidential
Other duties as needed by Senior Pastor
